Ola Electric has launched its new electric motorcycle Ola Roadster X in the Indian market. The company has kept its starting price slightly less than Rs 75,000 (ex-showroom), which goes up to around Rs 1 lakh for the top variant. The Ola Roadster X is the entry-level model of the Indian EV brand’s new e-motorcycles range. It is Ola’s most affordable electric motorcycle, launched as a commuter motorcycle with a sporty look. Production is already underway at the Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, and deliveries are expected to begin in mid-March 2025.

Ola Roadster X Variants and Battery

The Ola Roadster X electric motorcycle is available with three battery pack options. The base variant of the Ola Roadster X has a 2.5 kWh battery, which is claimed to give a range of up to 117 kilometers on a single charge.

The mid-spec model has a 3.5 kWh battery, which is claimed to give a range of 159 kilometers on a single charge.

At the same time, the top-spec 4.5 kWh variant promises a range of 200 kilometers on full charging.

The Ola Roadster X gets a single electric motor that generates a maximum power of 9.38 bhp across the range. With its three different battery pack options, it comes with three different top speed limits:

  • 2.5 kWh battery pack offers a maximum speed of 105 kmph
  • 3.5 kWh battery pack offers a maximum speed of 117 kmph.
  • 4.5 kWh battery pack offers a maximum speed of 124 kmph.

Ola Roadster X Hardware

The Roadster X features alloy wheels with a front disc and rear drum brake setup. Along with this, Ola offers a Combi Braking System (CBS) with brake-by-wire technology. The bike has telescopic forks at the front and dual shock suspension at the rear.
